Most boats on the Mississippi coast live in a wet slip, and hauling a slip boat to a shop means a ramp, a trailer you may not own and a day off work. So the seats come to the shop instead of the boat. A helm chair unbolts in ten minutes. A bench seat lifts out. Canvas unzips. We take the pieces, leave the boat usable with whatever is not in the batch, and bring the finished work back to the same slip. Trailer boats are welcome at the shop in Gulfport too, and that shaves a little off the price.

Every public harbor, private lift and driveway from St. Louis Bay to the Pascagoula River. Dock visits inside Harrison, Hancock and Jackson County are included in the published ranges. Each harbor has its own page with what wears out first on the boats that live there.
Dock visit questions
- Do I need to be at the boat for the dock visit?
- For the first visit, yes, or someone who can open the boat. For the install, no. Many owners give us the slip number and the harbor office knows we are coming. We text photos of the finished install.
- Is there a charge for coming to my slip?
- Not inside Harrison, Hancock or Jackson County. The published ranges include the dock visit. Trailer drops at the shop come in a little under the range because we skip the trip.
- What is the real turnaround?
- Single seats and small canvas inside two weeks during the season. Full interiors three to five weeks. Pascagoula and Diamondhead trips are batched, so the first visit there can take up to a week to schedule. Winter is faster across the board.
- Can you work on a boat on a lift or in a covered slip?
- Yes, both are easier than a trailer. Covered slips are the best place on the coast to pattern seats because there is no glare and no rain. Tell us if the lift is low at certain tides.
